A Port St. Lucie, Florida school district has a contract School Psychologist job opportunity. This is a full-time, itinerate position for a district that harbors 28 schools. Caseload will vary depending on the candidate’s efficiency and strengths. The School Psychologist is needed to provide services for students with various disabilities.
Job responsibilities will include performing assessments (FBAs) and evaluations for students, administering individualized testing and providing referrals when appropriate, as well as creating IEPs with additional team members. The School Psychologist will also be expected to communicate regularly with parents in regards to student progress.
School Psychologist job requirements for this facility are active licensure in the state of Florida, excellent assessment and evaluation skills, comprehensive knowledge of RTI, FBAs and IEP practices as well as excellent time-management skills. The School Psychologist should have prior experience providing services for a diverse student population and experience working in a busy school environment.
